Stage 1 · Diagnosis
The fault traced, with the appliance tested.
Four services for residential and small commercial clients, quoted before any work is done.
Laundry appliances fail predictably — pumps, belts, bearings, heating elements and vents. We diagnose the actual cause rather than swapping the obvious part, and on dryers we check the vent, because a blocked one causes both the fault and a fire risk.
The fault traced, with the appliance tested.
Parts and labour, before any work.
Carried out, usually on the same visit.
Run through a cycle before we leave.
What's warm, what's freezing and when it started.
Airflow, defrost, seals and controls checked.
With an honest view on economics.
Carried out and temperatures verified.
Many fridge faults are airflow, seals, defrost systems or controls rather than the compressor. We diagnose those first because they're repairable; sealed-system work requiring refrigerant handling is a different matter and we'll say plainly whether it's economic.
Electric cooking appliances and dishwashers share the same common faults: elements, thermostats, control boards and door seals. Gas appliance connections are not our work — those go to a licensed gas contractor, and we'll tell you rather than attempt it.
Element, control or seal, identified.
Availability and cost checked before quoting.
Parts and labour stated.
Fitted and tested.
Space, connections and whether they're suitable.
Including any work the connections need.
Levelled, connected and tested.
Old appliance taken away where arranged.
A badly installed appliance fails early: a washer that isn't level walks, a dryer vented into a wall cavity is a hazard, a dishwasher plumbed badly leaks quietly. We install to the manufacturer's instructions, test it, and take the old one away where arranged.
Tell us the appliance and the fault. We'll state the diagnostic fee and book a visit.
